Why rent from SoCal Longboard Rentals?
After years of flying around with short boards, I started traveling with longboards. What a wake up call! Most airlines won't allow them, and how many times have you reached your destination for your dream trip only to find your favorite board broken into pieces? The internet is full of pictures and stories of exactly that! That’s what makes renting a board such a great option. While local shops have “Costco” soft tops to rent, there aren’t many places in Southern California to rent quality longboards.
Our Longboard Inventory
What started as a personal quiver born from curiosity and the love of surfing, our inventory has grown to over 30 boards. We scour the internet and personal sources to find the best used boards available. Whether you're 100 pounds or 240, we’ve got you covered! From basic off-the-rack Models like Bing or Takayama, to prototype boards directly from the hands of pros that were shaped by some of the best shapers around. Several in our inventory are personal custom shapes by many of those very shapers. Don’t just settle, rent from SoCal Longboard Rentals. You'll be stoked!
Flexible Rentals
Before arriving to SoCal, it's best to reserve one of our boards in advance. Send us the rental request form for the board you’re interested in and we’ll let you know if it’s available on your dates. When you get here, if the first board you try isn't jiving, then you’re welcome to exchange it for another within the same rental period to find your perfect match!
For locals, if you want to try a few boards before getting your own custom shape, then ask about our monthly rental plan and try out as many boards from our inventory as you want!
Experience Levels
At SoCal Longboard Rentals, our boards cater to the intermediate to advanced surfer who already knows how to surf and is looking for a quality longboard to match their skill level. Whether you've been surfing for awhile, or are looking to take the next step up to a longboard, we have the selection of boards you’re looking for!
While we encourage everyone to try surfing, we don’t recommend a longboard if you’re a beginner just starting out. If that’s the case, we’d be happy to guide you to local shops that’ll have the type of board to get you up on your feet!
